Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane claims his side were handed a raw deal in the Confederation Cup eviction on Wednesday by Ghanaian side Medeama in Sekondi.

The Absa Premiership champions were beaten 2-0 and bowed out on the away goal rule after a first leg 3-1 win in Pretoria last week.

Medeama struck in the 36th minute through Malik Akowuah's successful penalty following a foul in the box by Thabo Nthethe.

Then Bernard Ofori doubled their lead in the 64th minute.

Sundowns suffered a huge setback moments later with the sending off of goalkpeer Denis Onyango for a kick on Mohammed Abass.

Mosimane was bitter at the circumstances surrounding his side's elimination.

"Unbelievable. We had people from Medeama coming our bus to fight and we had to fight back. And the referees from Algeria were unbelievable. Medeama had a very good team but when we attack, it's offside, offside,' the former Bafana Bafana trainer said in a post-match interview.
