Kumasi-based Division One League side, Asokwa Deportivo have signed a partnership agreement with Palestra Fitness Centre, an Amsterdam-based firm.

The event attended by Officials and players of Asokwa Deportivo including owner Amidu Abdullai (Karmarat), Otuo Acheampong Sometimer (General Manager), Appiah McCartey and Abu Naaba took place at the country premises of Palestra Fitness Centre in Kaase, Kumasi.

Items including sets of jerseys, track suits and bags were presented to the officials of Deportivo.

The Division One club will also be granted full access to the Fitness Centre to make use of their modern gymnasium.

Receiving the items, club owner Amidu Abdullai expressed his happiness and excitement towards the generous gesture.

'I want to express my gratuity to Palestra Fitness Centre for partnering with us. This is the first time we are partnering an International organization and it tells you the club is on the right track when it comes to youth development', he said.

Representing Palestra fitness Centre in Ghana, country manager Micheal Antwi, an ex-footballer in Netherlands reiterated the Company's desire to support the club as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

'Palestra is based in Kaase and we have decided to help in the club's development,' he said.

'We currently starting with products but the next stage of the partnership is to provide the stage for the club to market its players in the Dutch league and build the capacity of its officials,' he added.

The partnership between both entities has no timeline with Palestra pledging to support the club through the use of its ultra-modern gymnasium and provision of other sporting equipment.
