Andre Ayew: Ghana midfielder named Swansea Best Newcomer of the Season

The Ghana international was named the Best Newcomer of Swansea City and in addition to the club's joint top scorer of the season on Wednesday

Andre Ayew has been very instrumental to Swansea City's campaign after joining the club from Olympique Marseille in the French league.

He kicked the ground running by winning the Barclays Premier League Player for the month of August and has scored 11 goals in the process in the league, making him the joint top scorer of the club.

His sterling performance in his debut season won him the Best Newcomer of the season and shared the top scorers award with Gylfi Sigurdsson at the club's awards night on Wednesday.

However, he was beaten to the Players' Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year awards by Sigurdsson and also lost out on the Goal of the season award to Jack Cork against Liverpool.
