MAY 4, 2016 LISTEN

The president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi is impressed with the level of competition in the ongoing Ghana Premier League despite lack of sponsorship.

After 10 matches into the new season, the game has been played in the spirit of football, and incredible results have been recorded.

Kwesi Nyantakyi, the first citizen of the country's football, is impressed with the level of commitment of the clubs both on and off the pitch.

'I am very impressed with the level of competition in the Premier League. It's very tight, very competitive and the organization is also good.

"You see clubs marketing their matches and more spectators are getting to the stands and it shows that this year's league is different," Nyantakyi said at the commissioning of the Cape Coast stadium.

The owner and bankroller of Wa All Stars also eulogized the FA for the efforts they've made to equip football administrators the knowledge required to run clubs.

'The FA has done a lot. We organize seminars for the clubs, we talk a lot about the league. We have trained coaches, we've trained referees, marketing officers and all these enhance the local league. And all these are to ensure we grow our game,' Nyantakyi added.
