Under-fire Hearts of Oak shot stopper Soulama Abdoulaye has broken his silence after his howler let down his team in their 0-1 home defeat to Kotoko on Monday May 2 in Accra.

According to the former Asante Kotoko goalie last Monday was his saddest day as a footballer but promised to bounce back strongly.

Soulama on the 44 minute mark conceded an own goal after he failed to handle a back pass from his defender Richard Akrofi.

In the second half he was red carded when he prevented Dauda Mohammed an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

''Yesterday was my saddest day but I believe it's part of football and I will get over it soon,'' Soulama told Accra-based Happy FM.

''I have been having nightmares, I am really down though the players, the management and the coaches have encouraged me I still cannot raise myself up. I don't know how I can even train in the coming days.

''I am a true professional and I will not go and take money from Kotoko, everyone knows the circumstances that led to me quitting Kotoko so why will I go back to them and take money. Yesterday was a bad day.''
