Ex-Heart captain Yaw Amankwah Mireku has taken a stinging pot-shot at goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama for his 'unpardonable' howler which gifted rivals Kotoko a precious 1-0 victory in Monday's Super Cup clash, urging him to return to his native Burkina Faso.

The 33-year-old has come under siege from the club's supporters after his clanger dealt Hearts a massive blow in the capital.

The Burkina Faso international mis-kicked a back pass from defender Richard Akrofi which curled into a gaping net.

The knives are out on Soulama and there are fears he could lose his position at the club.

And iconic former skipper Amankwah Mireku has lashed out at the former Kotoko goalkeeper for his 'spectacular' howler.

'I will advise him (Soulama Abdoulaye) to pack his bags and luggage and leave for his hometown in Burkina Faso', He told Kumasi-based Metro FM

'If he is wise, he will take that decision as soon as possible and leave Ghana to go have some rest in Burkina Faso.

'You cannot play with the Hearts of these die-hard Hearts of Oak fans and most especially in such a big game…a game that can potentially cause people heart attack.

'His mistake is a no no no and you have to watch Soulama's positioning and demeanour before kicking that ball, this is an unpardonable error.

'Even if something spiritually was done against him, then it means Soulama is spiritually weak, it means he is very very weak in terms of spiritual and he must ask for permission from the club hierarchy and leave."

Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has jumped to the defence of the under-fire shot-stopper with widespread fears he could be push out of the club in the coming days.
