Dormaa Ahenkro (B/A), April 29, GNA - Aduana Stars Coach Aristica Cioaba on Friday said he is overwhelmed by the quality of players in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), describing the GPL as very strong.

He noted that the players would have a fair opportunity to excell in future and ultimately advance Ghana football if they are given the needed support.

In an interview with the GNA Sports at Dormaa Ahenkro after a training session of Aduana Stars at the Agyemang Badu I Sports Stadium, he said "the fact that many Ghanaian players were sojourning abroad to ply their trade was a big enough testimony that there were quality players in the country."

Coach Cioaba said although the organization of the league was on the low side, compared to other leagues, much of the responsibility lies on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) to ensure that the leagues are well organized.

'This responsibility is not for the various clubs but the Federation. It's up to them to put in the right measures and the necessary things to help in the organization of the league', he stated.

On coaching Aduana Stars for the second time, he said, 'I'm delighted to be back to Aduana Stars'.

He observed that the sponsorship of the league was a critical need, which required serious attention in order to keep the premier league running.
