Hasaacas striker Eric Bekoe is backing Kotoko to silence Hearts in Monday's titanic clash in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Kotoko travel to the capital to face their bitterest rivals in the biggest match of the season.

The Porcupine Warriors have been far from convincing this term with a patchy performance which has angered their teeming fans.

The side's 1-0 defeat at home to New Edubiase on Sunday highlighted their poor campaign so far.

Tension is building up for the super clash in Accra but former Kotoko great Eric Bekoe has thrown his weight behind the Ghanaian record title holders.

'Those two clubs, they are all traditional clubs you cannot always use their form to judge,' he told Accra-based Class FM

'Though Hearts of Oak is in good form, you cannot just conclude that maybe team A or team B will win. I am saying this because I am not playing for any of the two clubs now. I am working with Hasaacas and I have to respect my contract. And all I can say is, when it comes to Hearts and Kotoko, I think it is the day that decides and not the form, so, whoever gets a good day will win the game.

'I wish my former club, a club that I have worked with, will carry the day. I will be very happy if Kotoko should carry the day.'

He added" I am praying for them (Kotoko) and I am praying for a peaceful game. I will say kudos to the fans. So far, we have not had any bad news from any centre. Thumbs up to all the fans for respecting themselves.'
