Accra Hearts of Oak have quickly moved to dispel rumors head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has been sacked following widespread reports of the Japanese American’s dismissal.

This follows an eventful week for the Phobians where they have been in the news for all the bad reasons.

First, the Phobians were eliminated from the FA Cup which was quickly followed by a facebook post by Kenichi who disclosed internal details with his contract.

Hearts failed to beat WAFA in midweek, his trusted lieutenant Joe Addo parted ways with the club and the coach reportedly walked out of a meeting with management of the club afterwards.

Kenichi publicly disagreed with the club’s decision to sack the chief scout by saying he is disappointed because the Hearts man is a quality football man.

Reports were rife on Friday morning claiming he had resigned with others suggesting he has been ordered to step aside.

But a close source tells Joy Sports Kenichi is still at post and will be leading the team in their week 9 league fixture against Ashantigold.

The Japanese American is however set to meet club owner Togbe Afede in showdown talks which could mark the end of Keni’s reign as Hearts coach.
