Asante Kotoko rubbish claims the club is close to appointing Kwesi Appiah as replacement for David Duncan

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has denied reports that they are planning on appointing former Black Stars coach Avram Grant as head coach.

Appiah, who now manages Sudanese top-flight side Al Khartoum SC, has five months left on his contract.

Reports in the local media claim is leading candidate to take over the job as head coach of Asante Kotoko after they asked David Duncan to step aside.

'Kwesi Appiah is my brother we have been talking all the time I have never spoken to him concerning the Kotoko job take over', Opoku Nti told Starr Sports.

Mean while Asante Koto are in action this afternoon against Premier League new boys Dreams FC
