Solid Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila guides leaders Al Qadsia to a 3-0 win over defeding champions Kuwaiti FC as they urge closer to the Kuwaiti Premier League title on Saturday.

The inspirational defender played full duration for the league leaders Al Qadsia as they saw off the defending champions Al Kuwait Club with a humiliate score line.

The Amir Cup champions were too hot for the defending champions to handle as Kuwait national striker Motawa hit hat trick to cement their stay on top of the table.

Kuwaiti FC were too strong for the league leaders in the Amir Cup semi finals a few weeks ago but the composed Rashid Sumaila pulled the breaks on them in the league game this evening.

The win means Al Qadsia are just a match away from annexing the Kuwaiti Premier League title for the first time in so many years.

Sumaila, 23, is therefore set to make history as one of the few Ghanaian players to have won Premier League titles with three different clubs in three different countries.

Sumaial has already won the Ghana Premier League with Asante Kotoko as well as South Africa's ABSA Premier League with Mamelodi Sundowns.

The presence of the Ghanaian in defence has ensured that Al Qadsia has conceded the least number of goals in the Kuwaiti League.

Al Qadsia have scored over 70 goals in 23 matches, conceding only ten.
