Black Stars and FC Lorient striker Abdul Majeed Waris has tipped Stephane Etoundi Mbia to make a great impact in the Chinese League with his side Hebei China Fortunate FC.
“Mbia has a winning mentality and I am sure that is going to help him to succeed in China,” Majeed Waris said.
The Cameroonian captain joined the Chinese outfit during the January transfer window for a fee believed to be around $4.4 million from Turkish giant Trabzonspor.
Waris who played with Mbia at Trabzonspor described the Hebei China Fortunate Football Club’s new found ‘absolute beast defender’ as a very hard working player with a great sense of leadership qualities.
According to Majeed Waris, Stephane Mbia exudes the right mentality to cope with any league and the Chinese League cannot be anything different.
Stephan Mbia is the current captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon. He also made the 37-man list for the 2015 edition of the Glo African Best Player Award.
