Head coach of Sekondi Hasaacas Yusif Basigi has lauded the quality of new signing Eric Bekoe following his assessment of the former Premier League top-scorer.
According to Basigi, the former Asante Kotoko hit-man has a lot of potentials as he rubbished negative comments being made against the 28-year old forward.
Bekoe for the past two seasons has struggling to get a team after terminating his contract with Berekum Chelsea as many have labeled him as injury-prone player.
But the former Ghana Premier League top-scorer on the transfer deadline-day made a shock move to Hasaacas and the coach of the Sekondi-based club has lauded the quality of the former Petrojet man.
'Bekoe is a good player. In fact, the way people have been saying negative things about him is not good.
Since he started training with the team, I have not seen such things,' Basigi said.
The experienced coach seized the opportunity to call on Ghanaians to desist from the act of referring to players as old players.
'In Ghana, we do retire players at early ages. We need to allow them to feel free to play. Bekoe is younger than I expected and he is an intelligent player as well,' Basigi told Ghanasoccernet.com
