Veteran Asante Kotoko midfielder Stephen Oduro is backing young forward Dauda Mohammed who is out injured to return stronger.
Dauda has been sidelined for a month and might miss out on Kotoko's season opener against WAFA on the 20th of February.
With Kotoko failing to sign a high profile striker after the departure of Ahmed Toure huge hopes are placed on Dauda Mohammed to get the goals in the coming season.
And Oduro certainly believes the 18-year-old will live up to the task.
'I know very well that Dauda is very young and a lot of trust has been placed on him,' Oduro said
'But he is out now but you get the feeling that he is young and very determined.'
'I am certain that he will return stronger than before and do a good job.'
