The Vice Chairman of the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) Joe Debrah has encouraged members to report attempted bribery cases in attempt to curb the canker.

Last season, there were murmurings that clubs infiltrated the referees' body and bought results.

This raised questions about the integrity and sanctity of the league.

Clubs owners have been accused of paying bribes and some have also alleged that referees themselves call to demand for it.

'I don't think referees are the ones promoting bribery in the game. No referee would call a club administrator for money; they would rather call the referees,' Debrah told Happy FM

'So to help curtail the mess, referees have to collect the money the club officials present as bribes and tender in as evidence. In this case they will get half of the money with the other half going to the GFA.'
