Captain for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon Stephane Mbia Etoundi has joined Chinese Super League outfit, Hebei China Fortunate Football Club on a three year deal.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder is the second African to join the Qinhuangdao side after Ivorian forward, Yao Kossi Gervinho.
Owned by real estate developers, China Fortunate Land Development Company Limited, Hebei China Fortunate FC gained promotion to the Chinese Super League in December 2015 and signed Serbian manager Radomir Antic for three years, but the club is currently been coached by Li Tie.
Nicknamed the ‘Samba Kings,’ Hebei China Fortunate have signed four players including; Edu (Brazilian, forward), Nenad Milijas (Serbian, midfielder), Gervinho (Ivorian, forward), Stephane Mbia (Cameroon, midfielder).
