Former Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful wants Rashid Sumaila to sue journalist and jujuman for defamation

Former Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful has angrily hit back at the jujuman in the center of the Rashid Sumaila and Jerry Akaminko juju scandal insisting the Black Stars defender should take legal action against the jujuman and the journalist.

Arhinful who spoke to Luv FM in Kumasi was explicit in his delivery saying he was happy Jerry Akaminko himself has rubbished the matter but Sumaila must clear his name.

'Since Jerry Akaminko himself has come out to rubbish the issue, it is important for Rasshid Sumaila to clear his name.'

'He should take legal action against the said jujuman and the journalist who gave him the platform to make such damaging comments since he [Rashid] says he doesn't even know the man.

'We are Africans and this thing will leave with us forever. Rashid must clear his name by taking the two to court for defamation to protect his image.'

'Rashid should sue the journalist who did the interview and he will fish out the supposed jujuman to clear himself. His family must take this matter up seriously and get the two arrested,' Arhinful said in an interview on Luv FM.

The football world was hit with the news of the scandal after Kyzz FM in the Western Region broke the news of the jujuman's allegation that Rashid Sumaila is behind the injury of Jerry Akaminko ahead of the 2014 Wor;ld Cup in Brazil.

Akaminko got injured in Ghana's warm-up match with the Netherlands and was ruled out of the tournament.

But Jerry has come out to rubbish the claims that Sumaila masterminded his injury.
