CHAN 2016: Cameroon and DR Congo progress from Group B

Cameroon beat DR Congo 3-1 at Huye in the final Group B match on Monday as both teams sealed through to the quarter finals of the CHAN tournament on Monday.

Yazid Emane Atouba scored on the 40th minute to put Cameroon ahead in the first.

DR Congo leveled through Jean-Marc Makusu two minutes after the halftime break.

Two goals from Moumi Ngamaleu and Samuel Nlend in the 52nd and 64th minutes respectively sent Cameroon top of the Group D log leaving DR Congo behind them.

Same time at the Amahoro stadium in Kigali, Angola won their first match of the tournament with a resounding 2-1 victory over Ethiopia.

Ary Papel with a brace in the second half gave Angola the win with Seyoum Tesfaye getting the consolation for the Eastern African nation.

Hosts Rwanda will play DR Congo in the first quarter final game on Saturday at the Amahoro stadium in Kigali whilst Cameroon take on Cote d'Ivoire in another quarter final fixture on 31st January, 2016 at the Umuganda stadium in Rubavu, Rwanda.
