Assessment: Grant: Black Stars has been impressive under my watch

Avram Grant believes the senior male national team of Ghana has been impressive in his first year in charge of the Black Stars.

The Israeli was appointed as Black stars coach on 27th November, 2014 and last week Friday marked his one year in office.

According to Grant, the Black Stars has met his expectation, despite the negative reports he heard about the team before he assumed post.

'The team has impressed me. Before I came they told me Ghana's mentality that they lack collective formation. They said so many negative things, but I didn't want to listen, because I decided to dwell on the positives.'

'Although we've had so many difficult times, we make sure that we have good mentality to overcome them,' he said this when he met the press on Monday at the GFA Secretariat.

Avram Grant propelled the West African giants to the final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Equatorial Guinea, but his side lost on penalties to the Ivorians.
