Augustine Arhinful has stated that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should revise the rules governing the selection of members onto its Executive Committee to help former footballers to contribute their quota to the growth of football in the country.
The Executive Committee which is the highest decision making body of the Ghana FA comprise 22 members, elected, after such members have at least 2 years of affiliation with a club.
However, the outspoken former Black Stars striker has indicated that technicality doesn't welcome the involvement of ex-players in the decision making process at the GFA and that is a big challenge facing Ghana football.
'The Composition of the FA is something we have to look at. Does it mean former players like Osei Kuffour, Tony Yeboah and I don't have any ideas because we are not affiliated to any club?'
'Someone is on the Executive Committee because he is the Secretary of a club or the Accra Rep and some people are disqualified due to technicalities. Mediocrity is killing all of us,' he told Hot FM.
