Former chairman of Kotoko, Herbert Mensah, has called for transparency amongst the rank and file of the Ghana Football Association following a negative report by Transparency International this week.

The reports labeled the associated as a body with a 'potential to be corrupt' after the GFA failed to meet the anti-corruption body's four criteria. Transparency International scored the Ghana FA zero in the areas of financial accounts, organizational statutes, annual activity report and code of ethics in the Football Governance League Table.

In light of this, Mensah is urging the FA to be more open to avoid all forms of suspicions that seem to be gaining regularity. “Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi should let his work at the FA be transparent so that people will get trust in our soccer for them to troop to the various stadia to watch league matches,” Mensah said.

“If Nyantakyi is able to explain how he shared the coefficient money and give details of the various sponsorship money, with details of Black Stars friendly match money, this will make people have trust in him and will go to our various stadia to watch matches and will not need Shatta Wale, Sarkodie etc to attract supporters to come watch our league matches.”
