League Report Untrue: Hearts deny Vice Presidents 100,000 donation
NOV 26, 2015 LISTEN

Accra Hearts of Oak have denied reports claiming the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Amissah Arthur has pumped $100,000 into the 'Continental Club Masters' to make them active in the transfer market.

Accra Hearts of Oak have been inactive in the transfer market and are yet to announce the signing of a top-notch player on the local season, despite struggling to survive the 2014-15 season.

Some people have attributed the inactiveness of the club in the transfer market to financial difficulties and there have been reports that the Vice President of Ghana has given Hearts of Oak $100,000 to help salvage the situation.

However, the board chairman of the Phobians, during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the club on Wednesday rubbished the reports.

'Of course he is a sympathizer, a supporter and a shareholder of the club, so he can help, but he hasn't us $100,000.

'Why will somebody fake a story like that? Nothing goes out but the truth. Let us know that so many people want our downfall,' he said.
