League Report Bechem United Scouts In Town
OCT 21, 2015 LISTEN

Two high-profile scouts, Marc van Osselaer and Nicolas Onisse from Belgium and France respectively, are in the country for Bechem United's nationwide talent hunt exercise, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS can confirm.

Club president Kingsley Owusu-Achau said the expatriates are in the country in pursuance of Bechem United's youth development program.

The talent hunt exercise began last Sunday and continued on Monday at the El-Wak Stadium for players between ages 18 and 23.

Last Tuesday was the turn of academy players from age 17 and below which also featured eight teams including Utretch, Unistar, Awudu Issaka, Attraviser Academies.

The northern sector of the country will have their chance on November 22 and 23 where two teams from Kumasi, one from Obuasi and three from the Brong Ahafo region will play under the watch of the two foreign scouts.

'Like I pointed out earlier, we are doing this as part of our efforts to add some bite to our youth development program. Check every successful club, and you will realize it has a solid youth program, and that is exactly what we want to do.

'It's been successful so far; indeed talents abound in the country. The only problem we encountered was choosing the best from the pool of talents that converged on El-Wak. We are expecting to experience same when we get to the northern sector,' said Owusu-Achau.
