OCT 20, 2015 LISTEN

Samuel Opoku Nti
Asante Kotoko's General Manager Samuel Opoku Nti has called for total unity and support from all stakeholders of the club.

To the soft-spoken former Ghana international, that was the only way to get the club to higher heights having gone through turbulent times in recent months.

He appealed to the club's faithful and all stakeholders to put the past behind them, after meeting with the owner of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to address rumors of imminent change of the board.

He revealed that the club had made significant strides, but mentioned that there remained more grounds to cover.

In a release signed by the General Manager, he indicated that the club would now focus on the delivery of a range of exciting initiatives under the guidance of the club's owner, Otumfuo Osei Tutu I and the Board.

Mr Nti hinted that the recruitment team, led by head coach David Duncan, was working assiduously to bring in quality charges to compliment the efforts of the existing ones.

The release added: 'Last season was a challenging one for our darling club as we failed to defend any of the titles won the previous season. Efforts are being made by the board and management to recapture those trophies next season.'

He expressed sincere thanks to supporters and sponsors like MTN, Latex Foam, Fidelity Bank, Supabets, Everpure, Herbalife, Africa Cola, Blue Jeans Energy Drink, among others for their contribution.

In like manner, the General Manager thanked players of the club who were moving on and those hanging their boots for their contribution to the Red Army.
