Koforidua (E/R), Oct. 11, GNA - The finals of the Eastern Regional Volleyball league match between Court Winners of Donkorkrom and Okere United Way of Adukrom is set to take place Sunday at Akwatia.
Court Winners qualified from the North East Zone and defeated Unity Club of Koforidua in the semi finals by three sets to two.
Okere United Way also on the other hand qualified from the South East Zone and defeated Super Rangers of Akim Swedru by three sets to two in the other semifinal.
Super Rangers would play Unity for the third place match before the final game.
Though the league has no title sponsors, organisers have been able to seek some assistance from Boafo Herbal Industries for the finals, whiles Dr Kwame
Taylor, a philantropist and a volleyball fan has donated a magnificent trophy for the finals.
The winners, the second and third placed teams would be presented with cash prizes.
The organisers are calling on all corporate organisations, individuals and philanthropist to partner the Eastern Regional Volleyball Association to sponsor next season's volleyball league.
