The Ghana Sports Ministry have disclosed that the Football Association did not officially notify them of the upcoming Black Stars game on Tuesday.

The senior national team of Ghana are scheduled to play Canada in an international friendly in preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying games in November.

Black Stars started training in Washington on Friday ahead of the clash with some players on their way to join their team mates in the United States.

The deputy Sports Ministr Vincent Oppong Asamoah however told Ultimate FM:

'We at the ministry were not notified officially by the FA of this friendly game for the senior national team of the state.

'We have accordingly registered our displeasure officially with the Football Association.

'I can imagine how the media would have dealt with the ministry if it had been the other way round.'

The Black Stars camp has been hit with injury layoffs ahead of the friendly on Tuesday with captain Asamoah Gyan and vice-captain Andre Ayew all out injured.

Christian Atsu and Rabiu Mohammed are also out with injuries with goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey asking for permission to sit out the friendly after his return to the senior national team of Ghana since the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

The senior national team of Ghana have also been troubled by difficulties in securing travelling visas for the game in the United States of America. Follow @kboakye92
