Sports News Techiman City And African United To Face GFA Ethics Committee Today
OCT 9, 2015 LISTEN

Officials of Techiman City Football Club and Wa African United will today appear before the Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association at exactly 14:00hrs GMT.

Expected to make the appearance will be the President of Techiman City, Charles Kwadwo Ntim and Nana Gyamerah Yiakwan II of African United fame.

The Committee will re-open the alleged bribery and match-fixing scandal involving the two clubs in connection with their week 22 match in the GN Bank Division One League (DOL).

The Ethics Committee found Techiman City culpable, but its ruling could not stand the test of daylight as it lacked the locus to determine the merits or demerit(s) of the case in question.

The Appeal’s committee has therefore referred the matter to the General Secretary of the FA to reconstitute the same Ethics Committee to sit and deal with the case.

Techiman City were the eventual winners from zone one with 63 points and are billed to play in the Ghana Premier League should they win the case.
