Presec-Legon has been minting great men of valour and prestige since 1938.

It’s officially known as the Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School. But for a brief period in its history, it enrolled the brightest and best girls. And today, many of them are honorable women of substance.

Few people know that female students were admitted into the sixth form in small numbers to begin with, from September 1975. They continued to be part of the student body till June 1996 when the last batch left.

One of the most prestigious of this crop is Lucy Quist, currently the CEO of Airtel Ghana.

She, together with other top CEOs and MDs across Ghana’s industries who identify themselves as Ɔdadeɛ‬, as old students of the famous school are known.

And they've all signed up to be part of the 2015 Torch and Bonfire Night.

What used to be an annual event faded for a few years, but now the 2005 year group – under the guidance of the National Secretariat – are leading the effort to bring back the Torch and Bonfire Night.

Ahead of Friday night’s much hyped event, the Communications Directorate of the Presec Old Boys Association has issued the official promotional photos and hashtags.

The message is simple: if you are Ɔdadeɛ‬ or you love the brand that is Odade3, spread the word.

And, while you do, make sure to #‎TagAnƆdadeɛ‬.

On that day, everyone is invited – especially anyone who attended the school at any point in its rich history from 1938 to date.

Wives and girlfriends of such illustrious alumni have also been invited, as well as all who admire the prestigious brand that is Presec-Legon.

With good laughs, great memories and good food guaranteed, the old students of Ghana's greatest boys' school is promising an unforgettable night.

The school, widely associated with the #BlueMagic phrase, is encouraging a dress code with a touch of blue but are open to anything that’s smart and casual.

A mix of ballads and up tempo mood music is coming from Elorm Adabla (EL), Choirmaster, Paul Nuamah-Donkor (Jayso) and Sammy Bampoe (Sammy B).

All four are the sons of the land.
Joy FM’s Kwame Sakyiamah (Lexis Bill) and Metro TV’s Paul Adom-Otchere will compere the proceedings, which begin at 6pm.
