Ghana FA vice president, Fred Crentsil has revealed that if he knew he would lose the Executive Committee Election, he would not have contested.

Crentsil, who was seeking to earn a third term on the decision making body, happened to be the biggest casualty after failing to secure one of the four slots available to clubs in the division one- Ghana's second tier.

The astute football administrator has finally voiced out saying he would have preferred not contesting at all if he knew he would lose.

In an interview, Fred Crentsil said 'I was really disappointed in the result. I did all that I had to do. If I knew I wouldn't win, why would I have contested?'

'I thought the delegates would look at my track record and vote for me. I felt really disappointed. But that is the decision of the voters,' he added.

The Board Chairman of Techiman City FC could only amass 23 votes which were not enough to outstep his close competitors, Osei Palmer and J.F Mensah.
