Indian job: Francis Dadzie's North East United begin Super League Tuesday

Francis Dadzie is fired up and ready to bang in the goals for North East United when they kick off their 2015/16 Indian Super League campaign away to Kerala Blasters on Tuesday.

The former Bechem United hitman is one of the new players brought in by North East United's Venezuelan coach, Cesar Farias in a bid to improve the side's goal scoring prospects, something identified as their main problem last season.

North East United struggled with finding the target in last year's debut Indian Super league campaign, scoring a paltry 11 goals in their 14 matches, a problem that killed their hopes for a top-half finish.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian is one of four new strikers signed by the club ahead of the new term, Dadzie already serving notice of his potential by opening his goal account during their pre-season tour of South Africa last month where he also offered some assists.

'Francis is a very strong player who knows how to use his power and take advantage to create chances," Coach Farias previously said about Dadzie.

"He can pressurize defenders and his youth adds more desire and hunger up-front. He has an impressive left-foot as well, which is an additional advantage,' the Venezuelan tactician added.

After playing Kerela Blasters, North East United are again in action on Friday when they are guests at Pune City. Follow @thedonplato
