Criminal and corrupt ruling: Kotoko Accra Rep: The Disciplinary Committee chairman gave out the ruling
02.09.2015 LISTEN

Edmund Acquah, the Accra Rep of the Porcupine Warriors has stated that he has a proof to confirm that the decision of the Disciplinary Committee to declare the league champions losers in their league game against Hearts of Oak was single handedly taken by the committee's chairman, Prosper Harrison Addo.

Hearts of Oak were beaten 2-1 at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra on match day  25 of the First Capital Plus Premier League on August 2, but the Phobians, lodged a protest to contest the eligibility of Obed Owusu, who was on 4 yellow cards prior to that game and the Disciplinary Committee following its sitting on Tuesday upheld the protest by declaring Kotoko losers.

However, the Accra rep of Kotoko has indicated that the ruling was pre-empted and that no proper sitting took place yesterday, but one person gave the ruling to satisfy his selfish interest.

'I will call this ruling as  criminal and corrupt, because Prosper Harrison Addo drafted the ruling without consulting the other members of the committee. He did that in the office of the Communications Director of the GFA, Sanni Darra," Edmund Ackah told Nhyira FM.

'When the committee met he (Harrison Addo) didn't go for the sitting, but he took the decision to declare Kotoko losers. Because Kotoko Express had published series of meetings he had with Hearts of Oak to assure them of the points, he decided to exempt himself from the sitting and that is how come the chairman's name wasn't part of the people who sat on the case.

'During the GFA seminar on Club Licensing last week some people told me Harrison Addo was circulating the news that he was going to rule the case in Kotoko's favour, so we should write to the FA that the chairman has an interest in the case, but I didn't want a situation whereby one day when a Kotoko person assumes an FA position people will use it against him.'

Kotoko per the ruling have lost 6 points and this has pushed them to 15 on the league log, while Hearts of Oak who were made 3 points rich have lifted themselves to 7 place on the league ladder, with two matches remaining.

The league champions are bent on overturning the decision of the Disciplinary Committee by fair or foul means.

The GPL will enter match day 29 in all league centres, but Kotoko have promised to put an injunction on it until all matters regarding their case against the Phobians are resolved.
