Christian Atsu missed a chance for a face-off with international team-mate Jeffrey Schlupp on Saturday in the English Premier League.

The Ghanaian forward who made his competitive debut in the English League Cup on Tuesday was not named in the AFC Bournemouth squad that entertained Leicester City at home.

Jeffrey Schlupp however started the game and went on to play in the full duration with Ghanaian youngster Joe Dodoo who made his name with a hat-trick on his Leicester debut in the League Cup coming on in the 72 minute.

AFC Bournemouth and Leicester City played out a 1-1 draw.

Jordan Ayew was again slapped on the Aston Villa bench as his side welcomed Sunderland at Villa Park. The Ghanaian did not get a chance to come off the bench as Villa played a 2-2 draw with visitors Sunderland.

Abdul Baba Rahman also endured his first defeat at English club Chelsea since transferring from Augsburg.

The Ghanaian defender was named on the bench and could not make his debut as Chelsea were downed at Stamford Bridge by Crystal Palace.

Andre Dede Ayew continued his impressive run of form in the English Premier League with a goal and an assist against Manchester United at the Liberty Stadium.

The Ghanaian leveled Mata's goal for United with a header before setting the winner up for Bafetimbi Gomis as Swansea City won 2-1. Andre Ayew started and played the full game.

David Accam was also on target in the Major League Soccer scoring the opening goal of the game for Chicago Fire who were playing Orlando City. Home side Orlando City equalized Accam's goal ending the game at 1-1.

Ghanaian player Patrick Nyarko also started the game for Chicago Fire but was replaced in the 60 minute by Harrison Shipp.

Frank Ancheampong made a 72 minute appearance in the Belgium Pro League as his Anderlecht side cruised to a 3-0 win away from home to Westerlo.

Torino player Afriyie Acquah who has dominated non football news in relation to his wife's affair with Jordan Ayew made a substitute appearance in the Italian Serie A.

The Ghanaian replaced Marco Benassi as Torina won the league game at home by three goals to one against Fiorentina.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu missed Udinese's 1-0 defeat at home to Palermo due to the injury sustained in the win against Kwadwo Asamoah's Juventus last weekend.

Samuel Inkoom played the full game for Boavista in Portugal against Braga. The Ghanaian and his team-mates were drubbed by four goals without reply on the road.

FC Koebenhavn were defeated 1-0 away from home to OB with Ghanaian player Daniel Amartey playing the full game for the Denmark side.
