Whatsapp love: Ronaldo chats up Australian model but fails again

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was 'shocked' when an Australian model knocked back his advances during his tour Down Under.

The 30-year-old Real Madrid player began flirting with the brunette beauty while his club were touring Australia, according to the Mirror.

Aline, from Melbourne, rejected the Portuguese footballer after he sent a series of forward messages, asking her to take some sexy "gym selfies" and encouraging her to meet up with him and bring a friend.

When she told Cristiano that she had a boyfriend, he boldly responded: "No one knows, baby. Quiet."

The 22-year-old make-up artist initially approached Cristiano via Instagram to ask if he had received a fan letter from her beau Alex.

The Portugal captain took an interest in the young stunner, and the conversation turned flirtatious over WhatsApp.

Speaking to the Brazilian-born beauty contestant finalist in their native Portuguese, he said: "Can I have a photo when you are in the gym?"

She replied: "No, my boyfriend would not be happy."

But Ronaldo responded: "No one knows, baby. Quiet. I do not show anybody."

Aline continued to reject the former Manchester United star's advances, and a stunned Cristiano responded: "Seriously?"

Cristiano offered her tickets to watch him play against Manchester City in the recent International Champions Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, but Aline wondered if he boyfriend could meet him while he was Down Under.

The athlete made it clear that he was not interested in meeting his fan, but wanted to see Aline alone.

He wrote: "Yes, beautiful. But it is difficult. I do not want to know man. I want to meet you."

Taking to Instagram earlier today, Aline blasted critics for accusing her of "seeking attention" by sharing her story.

She wrote: "So I just want to make things clear for all these people saying I was seeking attention or whatever. I would never do something like that just for publicity, if I want to get famous one day I'll do it by my hard work and not with a story like this.

"My boyfriend is actually the one who told the media and I don't blame him, as he clearly was so disappointed at the fact that Ronaldo didn't care about him, a fan of Ronaldo's since he was a kid. I wish this story wasn't out there, but I can't do much about it now. P.S. Alex is no longer a fan of Ronaldo's, of course."

When asked by someone why she gave him her mobile number, she elaborated: "Sick of people like you questioning me, but let me answer your question. Because I was trying to help my bf get what he wanted.

"And I am not trying to talk bad about Ronaldo here, if it was up to me this story would have never been published. I was happy when Ronaldo wanted to talk to me but wasn't too happy when he wasn't understanding of the real reason why I contacted him."
