The newly Al Ittihad recruit attributed the unsuccessful pursuit of Danny Welbeck (England) and Mario Balotelli (Italy) to the poor treatment handed out to stars like Kevin Boateng and Emmanuel Frimpong amongst others who have been frozen out of the team.

The former AC Milan man is serving an indefinite ban following a spat with a top Ghana FA official during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The 30-year-old physically attacked former Black Stars management committee member Moses Armah during a meeting to address an appearance fee row, leading to his expulsion from the team.

He has since refused to apologised for the unprovoked attack on the Medeama president but the Ghana international has revealed poor man-management could deter others from switching allegiance to play for the Black Stars in future.

'Things like this we can avoid them, Black Stars can have amazing young talents that can be there now and for the future as well, but if you keep on treating them badly they wouldn't love to even join the team,' he told Accra-based Starr FM

'You will drive them away. Top players like Balotelli and Danny Welbeck could have played for Ghana but why, probably we don't know how to get them and even if they hear people quitting the national team, they wouldn't have any interest to join the team.'

Ghana has lost out on Manchester United new signing Memphis Depay but are making frantic effort to lure Feyenoord star Elvis Manu.

Do you agree with the assertion of Muntari? Do you think the Ghana FA has untreated such players unfairly?
