Saudi giants Al Ittihad Jeddah have offered a two-year-contract worth â‚¬4.5 million a year to Ghana international Sulley Muntari, according to reports.

Agent of the former Sunderland midfielder Edward Crnjar met with Al Ittihad officials on Friday according to Ghanaian news outlet Daily Soccer Ghana over the proposed move but details were scanty.

Al Ittihad boss Laszlo Boloni is keen on getting the midfielder into his squad for the upcoming Saudi season as they seek to improve their four-place finish last season.

The midfielder, who turns 31 next month, is opened to accepting the offer but wants an improved wage up to $150,000.

English Premier League side Everton as well as a couple of MLS sides have been linked with the midfielder who was released by AC Milan at the end of last season.
