Ghanaian midfielder Mumuni Abubakar has signed for National First Division side Vasco Da Gama on a one-year deal with an option for another year, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
“I signed for Vasco Da Gama this afternoon (Wednesday) and I’m looking forward to a successful. The coach said I’m his type of midfielder and so he wants me to join his squad fight for a PSL slot,” Mumuni exclusively told GHANASoccernet.com.
The former Ghana U20 captain was available on a free transfer after playing for Black Leopards last season and helping them reach the playoff stage.
Mumuni was training with Premier Soccer League side Free State Stars but never heard anything positive
Abubakar has struggled to hog the headlines abroad after winning the 2010/2011 Ghana Premier League Most Valuable Player.
