Ebenezer Assifuah opened his goal account in the Swiss Super League on Saturday when FC Sion surrendered two goal lead to home side FC Luzern at the Swissporarena in the first match of the Switzerland top flight league.
Moussa Konate scored the first goal for Sion in the 34th minutes which the visitors held on to recess. Assifuah then scored the second for Sion seven minutes into the second half as they took cruise control of the game for an expected winning start to the season.
But Luzern never gave up as they rallied back with two late goals in the 90th minutes and additional time to square the match.
That was a disappointing result for Sion coach Didier Tholot who had substituted Assifuah in the 68th minutes and his other attackers, Konate and Martin Zeman later in the game.
