JUL 18, 2015 LISTEN

The First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) returns this weekend as leaders AshantiGold make a journey to the Volta Region to play as guest to Hearts of Lions at the Kpando Park.

The soccer miners appears to be the runner away league winners and are firmly rooted at the summit of the log with 40 points whilst Hearts of Lions are languishing at the fourteenth spot with 25 points.

Despite the visitors consistent fine form this season trust Lions to pull a magic at their favourite Kpando Park, which has been a fortress for most of the top teams.

The Porcupine Warriors, Asante Kotoko will welcome former African champions league campaigners Berekum Chelsea to the Baba Yara Stadium in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Things have been quite difficult for Kotoko this season at the Baba Yara Stadium, but they would like to redeem their lost image with this match which is going to be a very tough one. Chelsea is second on the league table with 33 points whiles Kotoko is tenth with 29 points.

Embattled Accra Hearts of Oak will trek to Dormaa to face Aduana Stars at the Agyemang Badu Park. Nothing seems to be working for the phobias at this point in time and only luck can salvage a point for them in this match.

Aduana Stars are fourth on the table with 32 points whilst Hearts of Oak are twelfth with 26 points. A situation which has forced management of the club to see off Coach Herbert Addo, but whether that decision is a good one would be told some other day.

At the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, Accra, Liberty Professionals will host Medeama Sporting Club. Liberty Professionals have enjoyed a good home run and this match is not going to change the equation, but Medeama can surprise them all the same if care is not taken.

The two sides are separated on the table by just one point. Liberty is eighth with 30 points whilst Medeama on the other hand is ninth on the log with 29 points.

Sensational West African Football Academy (WAFA) will travel to Obuasi to test their pulse against New Edubiase United at the Len Clay Sports Stadium. New Edubiase have 13 points and are thirteenth on the table whilst WAFA occupies the third spot with 33 points.

At the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi on Saturday, Hasaacas will crack nuts with All Stars. Both sides have not performed badly at all this season and have both accumulated 31 points each but All Stars are fifth whilst Hasaacas are sixth on the log.

Great Olympics will play as host to Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium. Olympics who are peerless in the history of Ghana football when it comes to accolades are struggling to keep their feet in the premier league.

As it stands, Olympics have 22 points and are fifteenth on the table and a slip of point tomorrow could affect their quest of escaping relegation. Bechem United comes into this game with 29 points in their basket and are eleventh on the table.

On Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium, bottomed club, B.A United will host Inter Allies. B.A United are first from the bottom with 17 points whiles Inter Allies are seventh with 30 points and may pick all three points in this game.
