France Football Mazagine rate Ghanaian trio Depay, Inaki & Quaison among top 50 young players in the world

Renowned French Magazine France Football Magazine have named three players of Ghanaian roots in the world’s top 50 young players. 

Manchester United’s Memphis Depay, who has a Ghanaian father, is rated the best young player in the latest young player ratings.

The forward will wear a Manchester United jersey with the name – Memphis, given him by his Ghanaian father, at the back.

But, he is not eligible to play for Ghana as he has already committed his international future to the Netherlands.

The other two players include Athletic Bilbao’s Inaki Dannis Williams and Palermo attacking midfielder Robin Quaison.

Ironically Ghana is likely to end up missing on all three players at international level.

Depay and Quaison have already committed their international futures with the Netherlands and Sweden respectively while Inaki is currently undergoing the progression ranks with Spain as is playing for the Spanish U21 side.

Wiliams, 21, hit the limelight of Spanish football last season after debuting for Athletic Bilbao in December is rated 43rd best young footballer on the globe by the renowned French outlet.

The attacking midfielder, born to Ghanaian and Liberian parents, has debuted for Spain’s U21 side but could still switch to play for Ghana with the Ghana Football Association declaring interest in him.

Also on the ranking is Ghanaian-born Swedish international Robin Quaison who plays for Italian Serie A side Palermo.

The former AIK Solna attacking midfielder, 21, is recognised as one of the best prospects in Swedish football following his exploits with AIK and abroad.
