Ghana star Christian Atsu is excited about linking up with his “good friend” Tokelo Rantie at Bournemouth in the English Premier League.

South African international forward Tokelo Rantie hit the target for Bournemouth as they defeated Philidelphia Union 4-1 in their first pre-season match on their USA tour.

It is good news for the Bafana Bafana forward who has his work cut out for him if he wants to make an impression in the new season. Rantie scored his side's fourth goal from the penalty spot after playing the entire second half.

Rantie had also played a hand in creating his team's third goal and came close to a goal from open play when he beat the defence for pace but fired a shot into the side-netting.

Another African at Bournemouth is Ghana’s Christian Atsu who says: “He's (Tokelo) a really good friend of mine because I met him at the African Cup of Nations.

'When I came here I saw him, and Africans we are together, so I think I am good with him!'

Rantie will be the only current Bafana Bafana international playing in the EPL next season since Everton’s Steven Pienaar retired from international football.
