Former Ghana golden boy Baba Armando has hailed the influence of Asamoah Gyan's elder brother Baffoe Gyan in the Ghana skippers rise to fame and glory.

Gyan is posed to make a staggering EUR20 million deal to the Chinese super league.

The prolific goal scorer has enjoyed maximum success on the field for both club and country since he made his international debut in 2004 and Armando says his continues rise is down to the selfless attitude of his brother Baffoe Gyan.

'Most people do not know the influence Baffoe has on his brother but I can tell you that Gyan’s move to Al Ain would not have happened if his brother did not buy into it,' Armando said

'He is as influence in his career like the man himself and so it does not surprise me that he is making all the news.'

Gyan is expected to arrive in China on Wednesdy afternoon to complete a lucrative deal that will see him rake in around $ 300,000 dollars a week.
