Asamoah Gyan’s Twitter page has been flooded with goodwill messages from Al Ain fans as the Ghana striker who they regard as a legend departs to join ambitious Chinese club Shanghai SIPG.
The Black Stars captain will travel to China at sunrise to undergo a medical ahead of the completion of his mega move to Shanghai SIPG who are unvesting in the region of EUR20m in the deal.
Gyan is loved by the Al Ain fans for his dedicated service throughout the four-year period he spent with the UAE giants during which period he helped the side to three domestic league titles.
News of his departure has thus seen several fans of the Boss send in goodwill messages to the Ghana striker who said his official goodbye to the club on Tuesday.
