Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has visited National Chief Imam His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu to seek his blessings during this hoy month of fasting.

The Udinese player was at his Office which is located a Fadama, a suburb of Accra on Republic Day last Wednesday.

He presented a club jersey and some food items to the spiritual leader of Muslims in Ghana.

'It dawned on me to call on the Moslem leader as he leads our Moslem brothers to embark on this holy exercise,' Badu told Daily Guide

'Nothing works without prayers, so I thought it prudent to encourage him in this fasting period. Definitely, he will not be praying for himself and family alone, he will extend it to the entire nation, and as a citizen, I decided to visit and seek his blessings as well.

He added: 'The items were to urge him on to take the exercise to a successful end. I know he is a football fan. There have been times he prayed with the Black Stars through Sulley; that was the reason I presented my jersey as well.'

Badu has been linked with a summer transfer move with speculations that he might join either English Premier League side Stoke City of Watford.
