South African side Free State Stars have handed clearance to Ghanaian striker Abdul Adam Basit to look for another club elsewhere.
The 20-year-old failed to live up to the expectations at Stars.
The striker made just two starts for the team and a few substitute appearances in their league campaign of the 2014/15 season.
“Abdul Adam Basit has parted ways with Free State Stars,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
“He recently attended trials in Belgium. He was unsuccessful in his search for a club in Belgium, as nothing tangible came out of the trials.
“The club (Stars) gave him his clearance on his return from overseas.”
Basit is expected to look for a club in South Africa.
