Day four, Thursday, of the men’s singles saw straight-set victories for Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Tomas Berdych and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

But the day also gave Wimbledon its first major upset in the elimination of 10th seed Rafael Nadal at the hands of No. 102 Dustin Brown (below, pictured).

This will now be the fourth time in a row that 14 grand slam champion Nadal has lost to a player seeded in the triple digits in a Wimbledon final.

Women's round three results
The second round of the Women’s singles featured straight-set wins from Petra Kvitova, Caroline Wozniacki, and Angeline Kerber.

The defeat of No. 8 seed Ekaterina Makarova to Magdalena Rybarikova was another huge upset in a women’s singles competition that has already featured the early packing of bags from many top seeded players.

Kvitova faced little challenge from Kurumi Nara as she lost only two games in a 6-2 6-0 win. The defending Wimbledon champion entered the second round after only losing one game against Kiki Bertens.
