JUL 2, 2015 LISTEN

The new series from the team at 99.7FM, tracking the latest moves in the window. We call it the #JoySports Transfer Daily. Here, we summarize all the moves and rumours in a quick, easy to read format.

The series started in July 1 and ends on August 31.

When does the transfer window open?
The Premier League season wrapped up on May 24 and there has been a slew of confirmed transfers since - including James Milner and Danny Ings to Liverpool and Memphis Depay's move to Manchester United. But the window did not officially open until 12am on Wednesday 1 July 2015.

Is that the same across Europe?
No it is not. The transfer window dates for the major European leagues have yet to be finalised, but France, Germany, Spain and Italy's tends to open at the beginning of June rather than July. This means players from those leagues can agree moves into England, but transfers will not be ratified until July 1. The Dutch summer transfer window tends to open in the second week of June.

In today’s edition...
Nothing concrete on Baba Rahman
Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal are among a stellar list of clubs to have registered an interest in signing Baba Rahman (main picture) from the German side Augsburg, but they have been told the Ghana defender could cost up to €20m (£14m). Last week, Augsburg’s sporting director Stefan Reuter insisted they wanted to hold on to a player who still has four years of his contract remaining. “There is nothing concrete on our table with regard to Abdul Rahman Baba,” he told the German publication Kicker. “We are very happy to have him at our club, we are delighted he is playing for our club. We have been happy to hear him saying he feels great being with us.”

Chicharito injury could complicate move
Javier Hernández (above) may see a move away from Old Trafford become complicated after suffering a broken collarbone while on international duty with Mexico. The 27-year-old collided with Honduras’s Brayan Beckeles shortly before half-time in Mexico’s warm-up friendly before the Gold Cup and could be for three to four weeks. The injury could complicate Hernández’s attempts to secure a move away from Old Trafford after a season out on loan with Real Madrid, who declined to take up an option to make the move permanent...

Real Madrid have signed 24-year-old winger Lucas Vazquez from Espanyol just a year after selling him to the Catalan side.

The right-sided forward impressed in his season away from the club, scoring four goals in 39 games in all competitions. Having brought Vazquez through their youth system, Real placed a buy-back option in the deal when they agreed to sell him last summer. Real have activated that option, meaning Vazquez is Rafa Benitez's first official signing since being appointed as head coach...

But the Rossoneri have beaten them to the former Brazil international's signature. The 28-year-old, who joined Shakhtar from Internacional in 2007, has won six Ukrainian Premier League titles, four Ukrainian Cups and the 2009 UEFA Cup during his time with the club...
