JUN 24, 2015 LISTEN

Fred Crentsil has vehemently denied speculations that the Coach Avram Grant left abroad without informing the Ghana Football Association.

There has been speculation that the 60-year-old Israeli is angry for not being paid his winning bonus following the Black Stars 7-1 mauling of Mauritius in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra, last two weeks.

However Fred Crentsil who doubles as the GFA Vice President and the Co-coordinator of all National teams has rubbished such reports by indicating that Grant has been permitted to go on holidays by the Ghana FA.

'Who said Grant left the country without permission from the GFA. It is not true, it is not true, and it is not true. He wrote a letter and he has been granted a leave to see his family.

'It is in his contract that he is entitled to two periods of holidays within a year and is expected to return on 18 of July,' he told Metro fm.

Allsports.com.gh can confirm that it is rather the Video Analyst and the Physical Instructor who were angry over the unpaid winning bonuses and even decided to stay in their hotel rooms until the monies are paid, but the GFA pleaded with them to leave, because they will ensure the winning bonus are paid into their accounts immediately payment is authorized by government.
