Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan believes he can play at the highest level for the next ten years if he is able to stay healthy.

Gyan, now 29, is widely believed to be grinding towards the end of his career.

Recent statistics of his goalscoring form for both club and country however suggests otherwise as he seems to be getting better with age.

The Al Ain ace however remains mindful of the normal retirement age of professional footballers - with some calling for early retirement due to injuries and the ever increasing demands of the job.

But the Black Stars captain feels he can play competitively for the next ten years.

'If I stay fit, I think so [playing for ten years],' he told Metro TV's Sports File.

'Plus [playing for] Asante Kotoko I think I can do it [play for the next ten years].'

Gyan is the all-time leading goalscorer for the Black Stars with 48 goals in 90 appearances.
