JUN 18, 2015 LISTEN

Muniru Ali Sulley will never forget the love, affection and above all opportunity offered him at CFR Cluj even as he departs the club for greener pastures elsewhere.

The kid brother of renowned Ghana football star, Sulley Ali Muntari this morning sealed a move away from the Romanian Liga I club to champions of the same top flight, Steaua Bucharest  after three years in Cluj since arriving from Liberty Professionals at the beginning of the 2012/13 season.

But despite the joy of landing the dream move to a bigger club with the bait of UEFA Champions' League football next term to boot, Muniru took the time to show his appreciation for the three years he spent at Cluj for whom he made 26 league appearances last season.

"It's been a long and great journey for me, leaving my parents and my mother land to come to Europe and finding a new family at CFR Cluj," he began his long post on Facebook.

"I went through a lot, good time, sad time, crisis but overall it was amazing to be part of this great club which I owe a lot. I met some great people along the way who helped me grow up and looked after me (players and staff included)," Muniru explained.

"I would like to thanks the president, Mr Muresan for giving me this opportunity to play for CFR Cluj. I hope my contribution to the club was enough to repay them of my gratitude," the 22 year old year old continued.

Muniru added a vow: "This club and the fans who supported me during my time won't be forgotten, my love for this club will never die.

"I will now try to write a new chapter in my career, my only hope is that everybody understand my reason for living the club which was to further my career and better myself. Thank you all." Follow @thedonplato
