Accra, Aug. 31, GNA - Two former players of Accra Hearts of Oak will this Thursday, September 2, appear before the Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to seek for floating status.
Osumanu Amadu and Kenneth Sarpong, both members of the victorious squad that conquered Africa in 2000 by winning the CAF Champions League and Super Cup trophies as well as other domestic titles were placed on the transfer list by the management of the club at the beginning of the 2004 soccer season.
A Press Release issued by the GFA copied to the GNA Sports indicates that Amadu and Sarpong are making their second appearance before the Committee alongside 32 other players from some clubs.
The other players to appear are include Amos Adu from Heart of Lions, Cosmos Akorli- By His Grace FC Delorn, George Biara-Mines Stars, Moses Andoh - Okwahu Youngsters/Metro Stars, Joseph Annanfio - King Solomon, Justice Quarcoo - Great Ashantis/ All Blacks/Arsenals, Chief Appiah-All Blacks/Great Ashantis and Richard Nii Armah- Zebi FC. The rest are Nicholas Attah-Zaytuna FC, Emmanuel Azumah-Maxbess SC, Seidu Abdellah-Yeji Stars FC, Mohammed Dollar-St. Mirren, Henry Quarcoo Zaytuna FC, Harun Labaran-Midjiland FC, Derrick Debrah-King Faisal as well as Geofrey Kojo and Emmanuel Gandor both of Young eagles.
The others are Yaw Yeboah-Mighty Jets, Albert Williams and Emmanuel Nanyi both of Heart of Lions, Richard Osae- Nania FC, Michael Gator-Debors Stars, Daniel Mensah-Iron Breakers, Lukman Awal Olaya-Hasaacas, Draman Haminu-Heart of Lions, Alex Mensah-Auroras and Eugene Twumasi-A.C. Olympiakos.
The remaining players are Evans Tetteh from Marcas FC, Solomon Deveer and Moro Yahaya both of Zyatuna FC, Jonathan Myers-Vipers FC and Umar Abdulai- Zurak FC.
The release stated that the case would be struck out if the players and clubs fail to appear before the Committee.
